I was really looking forward to receiving this room divider as I loved the top design (unique compared to other "square" room divider tops), but sadly this was a dud. I really wanted to like this, but the finishing/quality, wood color, and rattan/bamboo coloring just did not work for me. It was packaged very well (so that earned some stars back), but for the price it did not meet expectations on quality. The wood itself is discolored in different places (beyond just "vintage" - it looked strange with random red-wood boards on the slatting on the bottom rather than truly tan wood color) and on the sides you can see it was made out of cheap plywood (with the multiple layer lines clearly showing). While I know it's supposed to be a rustic wood look, the way that pieces were joined and the direction of the grain just looked cheap and overly unfinished in my opinion. The rattan was very yellow compared to the wood and the plastic pieces - what confused me the most was that the product images show the "window crossbars" as the back of the room divider, and if that's the case, then the front shows really ugly plastic trim around the rattan. Perhaps the darker brown would have been a better choice, or ultimately a painted white one, but in general I'm really bummed the natural color one wasn't what I was hoping for. ALSO beware the seller is 3rd party, so you have to work directly with the seller to be able to return it and they will ask for photos to explain why you don't like it. If you buy, be prepared to potentially not be able to return it if the seller doesn't want to accept your return request.
